Se sumarán más de 40 puntos para aplicar las inmunizaciones de calendario, y la dosis de refuerzo indicada para niñas y niños frente al contexto de brote.
El ministerio de Salud de la Provincia realiza mañana una importante jornada de vacunación contra el sarampión, en los municipios del Gran Buenos Aires. Para esto, se dispondrán durante la tarde, más de 40 postas de inmunización nuevas con fin de aplicar las dosis de calendario y el refuerzo indicado para garantizar la prevención de esta enfermedad, que registra 31 casos vinculados a cuatro brotes en curso en el país, tres de ellos en el AMBA.

Tras casi 20 años sin casos de sarampión en el país, y ante el contexto actual, desde comienzos de abril se puso en marcha la Campaña de refuerzo de vacunación, con dosis adicionales para niños de entre 6 meses y 5 años que viven en distritos del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires. Es decir que se debe aplicar, independientemente de las vacunas de calendario que ya haya recibido el niño o la niña.
Esta campaña tiene como objetivo interrumpir la cadena de transmisión, proteger a los grupos de mayor riesgo y fortalecer la inmunidad colectiva. En tanto, es necesario que todas las personas completen los esquemas indicados, que establecen una primera dosis de la triple viral a los 12 meses de vida y la segunda a los 5 años.
El sarampión es una enfermedad viral altamente contagiosa causada por un virus, que puede ser grave y afecta, principalmente, a menores de 5 años, personas embarazadas e inmunocomprometidas. Por eso es esencial la vacunación y ante la presencia de fiebre superior a los 38°, erupción o manchas en la piel, hay que evitar el contacto con otras personas, y consultar con el equipo de salud.
En este sentido, el Ministerio lanzó, además, un sistema de telemedicina para atender consultas médicas virtuales a través del portal “Mi Salud Digital Bonaerense”: https://www.ms.gba.gov.ar/sitios/misalud/ , lo que permitirá evitar la circulación de personas con síntomas sospechosos y recibir orientación sin riesgo de propagar el virus.
